Safety feature added to field management software

HCSS has introduced a new, easy-to-use safety capability to its popular HeavyJob Field Management Software for companies whose crew-based employees perform dangerous work. The new capability enables companies to plan safety goals by employee and track them quickly and electronically.

Tracking safety information traditionally has been paper-intensive, with valuable information stored in boxes to be used only when an incident occurs. “This new software takes safety information capture and retrieval to an entirely new level for organizations where the health and safety of crew-based employees requires constant vigilance,” said Mike Rydin, president of HCSS. HCSS originally developed HeavyJob and its safety capability for the construction industry, but has begun marketing it to other industries with similar safety issues. “The features and benefits of HeavyJob’s safety capability apply to other industries whose employees are crew-based,” Rydin explained. Types of safety training, including individual subjects, can be set up for use as a pick-list throughout the company. Each class of employee can then be set up with goals specific to that class.
