Worldwide Power Products arranges expedited delivery of Kato generator end to oilfield services Firm Ensign International Energy Services
Worldwide Power Products (WPP), a power-generation equipment provider to industrial clients worldwide, announced it recently procured – and delivered on a rush basis – a 600V Kato 6P6-3300 generator end for Ensign International Energy Services Pty Ltd (EIES), a proprietary limited company owned by Alberta, Canada-based Ensign Entergy Services (EES). EIES approached WPP after failure of the alternator in a power-supply generator threatened operations at Rig 941, located in Kurdistan, northern Iraq.
"I was very happy to find a company like Worldwide Power Products that comes through when others do not," said EIES Drilling Superintendent for International Operations Raymond Taylor. "Obtaining that Kato alternator and bearings was a big save for us...WPP has been our 'diamond in the rough.'"
As one of the world’s leading land-based drillers and well servicing providers, EES had an extensive network of contacts, but had been unable to procure the necessary equipment on a substantially expedited basis. WPP was able to deliver the equipment the next day for exportation. As a result of the project's success, WPP is entering into discussions with EIES regarding future sales opportunities.
“WPP is quickly developing a global reputation for being able to deliver generators, engines and other power-generation-related equipment when no one else can," said Shane Hackenberg, WPP's sales director, O&G Division. "That's really at the heart of our mission. We not only provide well-maintained, high-quality used and surplus new equipment, but we always meet – and sometimes exceed – our delivery commitments."
