ESAB Welding and Cutting Products introduces the new ESAB Aristo 1000 AC/DC power source for sub arc welding. The Aristo 1000 AC/DC is an inverter power source that can be connected to three-phase input voltage supply (from 380 to 575V at 50 or 60 Hz). PowerCut 1300 has a cutting capacity of up to 1-1/4 inches (32 mm) and severs 1-1/2 inches (38 mm). PowerCut 1600 has a cutting capacity of up to 1-1/2 inches (38 mm) and severs 1-3/4 inches (44 mm).
The CaddyTig 2200i AC/DC single-phase power source is designed for a wide range of TIG and Stick welding applications. In both AC and DC mode, this machine gives excellent arc strike and consistent, stable arc. All types of materials and thicknesses up to 3/16 in. (5 mm) can be welded with the highest quality. CaddyTig 2200i AC/DC is available in two models: the TA34 model provides fullfunction capabilities for AC/DC TIG and Stick welding; the TA33 model for simple AC TIG welding – just set the plate thickness and the machine controls the rest. The MultiMaster 300X, a multipurpose welder, is a ready-to-weld package that offers superior welding performance for Mig, DC Tig and stick electrode welding. Optimized for use with ESAB’s Dual Shield X series of flux cored wire, this machine is ideal for welders currently using stick welding who would like to use flux cored wire.
This friction stir welding system is designed to weld high-melting-temperature materials, including ferrous alloys. Friction stir welding is a solid state joining process that provides many advantages over typical arc welding processes, including lower total heat input and the elimination of solidification defects associated with arc welding. Because melting does not occur in friction stir welding and joining takes place below the melting temperature of the material, a very high quality weld can be created with low heat input, minimal distortion, no filler material and no fumes.
