For construction sites in environmentally-sensitive areas, ENVIRONTM is the ideal hydraulic fluid. It’s free of heavy metals, non-toxic, inherently biodegradable and recyclable. Its exceptional oxidation stability means longer oil life compared to competitive vegetable oil based products and conventional hydraulic fluids. That means fewer change-outs, plus less sludge and varnish deposits.
Petro-Canada also provides a full-line of transmission/hydraulic fluids, transmission/drive train oils, gear oils, greases, and automatic transmission fluids. Throughout the wide range of lubricants Petro-Canada offers for the construction industry, you’ll find there’s one thing in common: performance. All of our lubricants are carefully formulated to help keep your off-road and on-road equipment running smoothly to reduce equipment wear and maximize productivity.

A reliable and well-maintained gas-powered engine can lead to a healthier bottom line for plant operators. Operations and service managers need high performing products that have a proven track record of success under a wide range of conditions and should take a proactive approach in carefully selecting a gas engine oil (GEO) to help achieve ideal engine performance. In contrast with other fuel types, gas engines traditionally burn cleaner and hotter and operate at a constant speed. GEOs play a critical role in engine cleanliness and durability, which means they must be specifically formulated to minimize engine downtime, maximize drain intervals and optimize performance.

Petro-Canada introduces SENTRON 590 – the company’s enhanced nitration control natural gas engine oil. The product was specially formulated to extend oil life along with Petro-Canada’s engine optimization recommendations – by as much as 200 percent – in natural gas engines operating under severe nitrating conditions. This formulation will ultimately help operators reduce the need for frequent change-outs, minimize costly downtime and maximize productivity. SENTRON 590 has undergone comprehensive testing, including field trials in seven Caterpillar 3300 turbocharged and naturally aspirated natural gas engines used in gas gathering operations in Athabasca, Alberta. The collective field trials validated the performance of SENTRON 590 and the results were quite impressive. All engines continued to have excellent oil consumption and wear metal control and, in general, average drain intervals were substantially extended.
DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40 is an extension of Petro Canada’s next-generation, heavy duty engine oil (HDEO) product line. Specially formulated to help on-road and off-road fleets perform in the coldest conditions, DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40 features longer lasting protection in extreme cold temperatures, smoother start-ups, very good soot dispersion and top-up performance, and extended drain capabilities in addition to energy conservation through ease of start-up and less viscous drag. “Our number one priority is bringing quality lubricants to market in a timely manner, to ensure that our customer’s needs are met,” stated Paula Del Cas-tilho, category manager, Commercial Transportation Lubricants, Petro-Canada Lubricants. “Off-road customers in the mining, drilling, forestry and construction industries, for example, generally work in harsh environments. They were in need of an HDEO that could provide a number of performance benefits, including longer lasting protection in extreme cold temperatures, reduced viscous drag, exceptional soot dispersancy and extended drains. We formulated DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40 as the solution, providing all of these benefits and then some.
