Sensornet, a global provider of advanced monitoring solutions and part of Tendeka, has announced the launch of its FireLaser linear heat detection system which has been specifically designed for fire hazard detection applications.
Oryx distributed temperature sensing (DTS) unit is designed for the toughest monitoring needs and is ideal for monitoring applications from desert to sub-zero conditions. Combined with satellite, radio link, or fibre communications, the Oryx becomes a powerful remote logging DTS unit. The autonomous, low powered system, able to operate from solar or wind power, has a continuous monitoring range of up to 5,000 m and a sampling resolution of one metre. It can operate in environmental temperatures from –40 degrees C to +65 degrees C. The housing enclosure is IP66 rated or above to ensure weather and dust proof deployment.
Sensornet, a global provider of advanced monitoring solutions and the Aker Solutions subsidiary, Aker Well Services AS, have signed a Master Service Agreement to provide an enhanced well intervention flow profiling service to the global oil and gas market over a period of three years. Aker Solutions’ well service unit will utilize its class leading logging, tractor and well control expertise to deploy Sen-sornet’s range of FibreDip optical cables across the reservoir section.
