Allmand Bros. Inc. introduces the increasingly popular V Series vertical light tower configuration as a standard feature for its Maxi-Lite EX Series light towers. The ML EX V Series offers the convenience of the vertical tower, a significantly extended run time, a larger, wider, and more stable trailer, and added auxiliary power. This multi-purpose unit brings extra versatility to oil and gas production sites by providing electrical power and lighting with a single machine. It also offers lighting for safety, security and productivity on new site developments as well as existing production sites.
With the V Series design, the mast on the ML EX V Series will vertically telescope and retract from its own housing, resulting in easier setup, simplified shipping, towing and storage, and reduced potential for damage. The V Series configuration features a hydraulic lift system, which allows the mast to be completely raised and lowered in less than 30 seconds. Additionally, this innovative design allows for more intuitive light fixture positioning (angle and direction).

The Maxi-Lite ML 30 EX portable light tower is specifically designed for applications that require more power, much longer run time and greater environmental sensitivity than is capable with standard light towers. Its 30 kW three-phase power configuration, 135 gallon fuel capacity (offering up to 135 hours of continuous run time) and trailer-integrated fluid containment system makes it ideal for extreme applications, such as those found in the oil and gas industry.
The Allmand Maxi-Heat portable heater resolves problems associated with cold weather work conditions by providing clean, breathable, heated air at the jobsite. The unit efficiently warms air to help keep workers and equipment in top form. The unit delivers high-volume, fume-free warmth as it draws in and heats outside air for the work environment. Burner units are enclosed and combustion gases are exhausted away from the machine while clean, heated air is delivered precisely where needed for a particular job. The enclosed indirect-fired twin heater units are rated at a total output of 1,010,000 BTU per hour, delivering a maximum of 6,200 cfm, with a 220 degree F discharge temperature.
The ML 30 EX is the latest addition to All-mand Bros’ popular line of Maxi-Lite portable light towers. According to Allmand sales engineer Doug Dahlgren, the ML 30 EX is a dual-purpose unit that will bring extra versatility to oil and gas worksites. “The ML 30 EX delivers up to 30 kilowatts of available power, an increase of ten kilowatts from our next largest unit,” Dahlgren said. “So with the ML 30 EX, along with Allmand’s superior lighting, you also have an additional electrical power source for powering temporary work trailers, pumps, additional lighting or other auxiliary equipment.” Greater fuel capacity is another important feature of the ML 30 EX. “Its 135 gallon fuel capacity provides up to 135 hours of run time without refueling. That means extended operation with less service expense,” Dahlgren said.
