Hitachi and Accudyne have entered an agreement through which Hitachi will acquire Accudyne's Sullair subsidiary, which manufactures air compressors, for $1.245 billion US. The move gives Hitachi access to Sullair's global sales network, mostly in North America, and ties into the company's efforts to expand its IoT Era strategies moving forward.

Sullair announces the availability of its 375 iT4 family of portable air compressors that has been redesigned to meet iT4 regulatory requirements. These dependable rotary screw air compressors provide clean, dry compressed air. With optional after-cooler and filtration, they can also be used as a convenient on-site source of instrument quality supplemental, replacement or emergency plant air for instrumentation, process equipment and other industrial applications. Available with a choice of Caterpillar or John Deere 4-cylinder diesel engine, the Sullair 375 iT4 family includes six models ranging from 300 to 425 acfm at operating pressures up to 200 psig. They are among Sullair’s wide range of over 90 portable compressor models with capacities from 100 to 1600 acfm, and pressures from 100 to 500 psig.
Sullair Corporation has introduced the 1100e, 1500e and 1800e encapsulated series of compressors to the company’s established line of industrial air compressors. These 15, 20 and 25 horsepower encapsulated compressors set standards for energy efficiency, reliability, low sound levels and compact size.
