Camex Equipment Sales & Rentals Inc. has introduced an Articulated Cat 740 powered All-terrain Vacuum Truck for use in operations in Northern Alberta. This robust vacuum truck utilizes 66 x 43-25 floater tires for extreme road and off-road conditions. The 116 BBL capacity tank features the suction boom mounted on the rear door for better access and functionality. Betts suction valves are air open/spring closed and feature lockable cam-lock fittings for ease of use and safety. Plus, a larger 12-inch discharge valve makes short work of dispensing liquid waste, and all suction and discharge valves are water jacketed for heat in lower temperatures.
The Camex VIP (Vacuum Industrial Products) team partnered with the Stahl Peterbilt dealership in Edmonton to produce a highly maneuverable, user friendly vacuum truck that is ideally suited to water hauling and liquid waste hauling of non-hazardous materials. The Peterbilt 340 tandem axle vacuum truck takes advantage of Peterbilt’s medium-duty 340 chassis – a tough and versatile vocational truck chassis that is built to handle the daily rigours of heavy industrial chores. The tandem axle chassis is powered by a PACCAR PX 8 – 300 hp engine that is specially engineered for better performance and fuel efficiency. The unit is equipped with an Allison automatic transmission, which makes it very user friendly to drive. This coupled with a shorter wheelbase makes it easier to maneuver through and around congested areas.
