Drill up to 4-inch holes with magnetic drill

CS Unitec has introduced a new portable hydraulic magnetic drill ideal for use in subsea applications and Ex Zones. With its 3.4 HP reversible motor, Model 2 1345 0010 produces an infinitely variable speed of 40-250 RPM. This machine has a 12” stroke and can drill holes up to 4” diameter in structural steel and other metals. The drill has a Morse Taper 3 (MT3) chuck, allowing twist drilling up to 1-1/4” dia., tapping up to 1” dia., countersinking up to 2” dia. and reaming up to 1-1/8” dia. Model 2 1345 0010 is ATEX Classified Ex II 2Gc IIB T5 for use in hazardous atmospheres.

Remove coatings and corrosion for clean surfaces

CS Unitec has introduced a line of low-vibration needle scalers with an optional dust shroud. The Trelawny Vibro-Lo VL Series is designed for all surfaces to remove coatings and corrosion and clean other accumulated materials. The VL Series offers seven times less vibration than traditional needle scalers. The internal air pressure is used to absorb the recoil and impact from the anvil and needles. The lower vibration reduces operator fatigue, increases efficiency and helps to prevent injury. An optional dust shroud helps to maintain a clean working environment when the tool is attached to a vacuum.

Pipe wrench reduces the risk of sparks

CS Unitec’s Non-sparking, Non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant 36-Inch Pipe Wrench is specifically designed to eliminate the risk of sparks at sites where explosive atmospheres may be present. Serrated teeth and an adjustable jaw allow the wrench to tightly grasp pipe and pipe fittings up to 3-3/8 inches diameter.

Non-sparking torque wrench for hazardous zones

CS Unitec has introduced a new Non-sparking Torque Wrench to its line of Safety Tools. Made from Copper-Beryllium to eliminate the risk of sparks at sites where explosive atmospheres may be present, it can be used in Ex Zones 0, 1 and 2 and 20, 21 and 22. In addition to non-sparking, the wrench is non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant.

Explosion-proof pneumatic impact wrenches

CS Unitec offers a line of explosion-proof, pneumatic impact wrenches for tightening and removing up to 2-1/8” (M56) bolts. These impact wrenches are suitable for zones with the potential for flammable gas, mist, vapor or dust. ATEX certification for use in these hazardous atmospheres makes them safer for applications in the oil, gas, chemical, mining, marine and other industries.

Pneumatic mixer ideal for hazardous environments

CS Unitec’s Model 7 1112 0010 pneumatic-powered mixer is ideal for mixing paint, mortar, concrete, refractory cement and other materials in hazardous locations such as the oil and gas industry. This mixer can be used in Ex Zones and around water with no fear of shock or blown circuitry. Its 1.5 hp air motor has a load speed of 0-240 rpm and has the capacity to mix batches of material up to 110 pounds. It uses 49 cfm air volume at 90 psi air pressure and weighs 15 pounds.

Diamond grinding discs reduce sparking

CS Unitec’s Eco Brazing (EB) diamond grinding discs reduce sparking up to one percent of that produced by resinoid wheels, making these discs a better choice for use in hazardous environments such as the oil and gas industry. Reduced sparking decreases the fire hazard from sparks and also increases the visibility of the workpiece, allowing more accurate grinding.
