HTA series tube hones
The all-electric HTA tube hone series packs high-end features into an affordable, flexible system. It is ideal for resurfacing and repair work requiring light-duty stock removal up to 0.030" (0.76 mm). Standard models are available for part lengths from 6.5' (2 m) to 32.8' (10 m). Custom lengths available too. All models handle parts with bore ID of 2.5" to 21" (63.5 – 533 mm).
HTG series tube hones
HTG series tube hones bring honing efficiency and 24" (609.6 mm) ID capacity for heavy energy-industry parts. Built rugged for high-production requirements of the oil and gas industry, HTG tube hones offer high reliability, flexibility, and 200+ in3/hr stock removal rate for part lengths up to 44.7' (13.6 m).
SV-2500 series vertical hones
The SV-2500 series is a powerful vertical honing machine that features the latest technology – a linear feed system that delivers the most precise and fastest control of feed on the market - to meet the demanding requirements for precision large-part applications. For bore diameters 0.75" to 12" (19 to 300 mm).
SV-2400 series machines have a unique stroking system that produces a true vertical stroke and can dwell in any part of the bore, end-to-end, producing the straightest, roundest bore possible with a consistent crosshatch pattern. The machine's standard 10-hp (7.5 kW) spindle handles bore diameters of 0.75" to 8" (19 to 203 mm).
The HTE is industry's most cost-effective small-bore hone. It produces ideal bore geometry and surface finish, while eliminating problems from bad tool-to-part alignment and excessive feed rates that cause tool breaks and scrap parts. It handles parts up to 60” (1524 mm) long and has an ID range of 0.15-0.79” (4-20 mm)
Honing technology leader Sunnen Products Company has appointed Chris Miltenberger President and COO, as announced by Matthew Sunnen Kreider, the company's Board Chairman.
Sunnen has introduced digital control of spindle speed, power-stroke speed and extra strokes on its new SH-2000 job-shop honing machine, designed as an affordable and flexible tool for bore sizing/finishing on a wide variety of parts. The new Siemens PLC/HMI brings efficiency advantages to a machine platform proven to have wide appeal in operations where parts, material types, and setups must change frequently and efficiently.
New All-Electric Tube Hone Combines Servo Precision and Cycle-Automation Features with Constant Spindle Power Delivery
Sunnen’s new HTR all-electric job-shop tube hone combines servo precision and cycle-automation features with constant spindle power and 0.1 mm (0.004") stroke repeatability to efficiently hone blind bores or correct tight spots in a bore without operator intervention. Designed and equipped to hone the wide variety of parts encountered in a job shop, the machine handles bore I.D.'s up to 900 mm (35.41"). Its modular design can be configured for stroke lengths from 2.5 m to 14 m (8' to 46.2').
Built rugged for high-production requirements of the oil and gas industry, HTG series tube hones offer high reliability, flexibility, and 200+ in3/hr stock removal rate for part lengths up to 44.7 ft (13.6 m), ID's up to 24 in (609.6 mm)
Sunnen's new HTG series tube hones are designed as oilfield workhorses with high-volume throughput and increased part capacity. The standard HTG-10000 is capable of handling standard part lengths up to 30 feet (9.14 m) and weights up to 17,600 pounds (8000 kg). The HTG's ID range is 2 to 24 inches (50.8 to 609.6 mm), double that of previous generation machines, with an OD capacity of 26 inches (660.4 mm) standard, and up to 48 inches (1219.2 mm) as an option. These machines are ideal for instrument piping and downhole equipment applications, such as pumps/motors and hangers, and large hydraulic cylinders like those found on offshore oil platform stabilizers. A new proportional load control hydraulic system enables maximum utilization of hydraulic power, delivering power where needed during operation for maximum efficiency. The system can deliver up to 40 hp (29.83 kW) to the spindle and up to 18 hp (13.42 kW) to the tool stroking system, for metal removal rates of 200+ in3/hr (3500 cm3/hr) using superabrasives in steel as needed.
