Coriolis mass flow meters from TRICOR offer compact, high performance measurements

Modbus now available on FCI line of compact thermal mass air/gas flow meters

New Cutmaster Black Series plasma cutting consumables last 60% longer

Thermal Dynamics, an ESAB brand, has launched its new Cutmaster Black Series of enhanced performance plasma cutting consumables, which extend operating life by 60 percent compared to standard life electrodes. They are featured on the SL60QD 1Torch, which comes with the Cutmaster 60i handheld air plasma cutting system. Coupled with internal enhancements on the Cutmaster 60i, the new electrode design increases the unit's rated cut and piercing capacity to 3/4 in., a 16.6 percent improvement. The Cutmaster 60i can sever metal up to 1-1/2 in.

Joint review panel for Frontier Oil Sands Mine Project submits report

The Joint Review Panel established to review the Frontier Oil Sands Mine Project, proposed by Teck Resources Limited (the proponent), has submitted its report to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change. The review was completed in accordance with the Agreement to Establish a Joint Review Panel for the Frontier Oil Sands Mine Project, issued on May 19, 2016 and amended on August 24, 2017.

PSAC raises more than $39,000 for education and energy literacy

The Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC) has announced that its "PSAC Working Energy Golf Classic", powering Canadian energy and education and raising funds for awareness and education, raised over $39,000 thanks to the generosity of energy industry companies, employees, their guests, and the numerous sponsors whose livelihoods depend on the health of the industry. The sold-out event took place July 24 at the Inglewood Golf & Curling Club.

Cuda Oil and Gas to sell Quebec assets for $10.59 million

Cuda Oil and Gas Inc. has entered into a series of binding Asset Purchase Agreements  to sell all of its oil and gas assets and related liabilities located in the Province of Quebec at a total transaction value of CAD$10.59 million, including cash consideration at closing of CAD $4.29 million, to arm's-length purchasers.  The Transaction is anticipated to close on or about August 30, 2019.

Cenovus shows gains in 2018 environmental, social & governance report

Cenovus Energy Inc. has published its 2018 environmental, social & governance (ESG) report detailing the company's progress in advancing environmental, health and safety performance, investing in and engaging with the communities where it operates and maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance. Plains Midstream Canada announces Rangeland Pipeline Expansion

Plains Midstream Canada (PMC)  announces a proposed expansion of its Rangeland crude oil pipeline system for additional delivery capacity both north to Edmonton, Alberta and south to the border at Carway, Alberta. This expansion is subject to receiving sufficient commitments from shippers and receipt of necessary permits and regulatory approvals, and will provide incremental takeaway capacity for the East Duvernay and other Rangeland-area production, as well as south egress access out of the Edmonton market hub. Combined, the expansion will increase Rangeland's current light crude oil capacity to approximately 200,000 barrels per day. Service between Edmonton and Sundre will be expanded from 50,000 barrels per day to approximately 100,000 barrels per day and, additionally, will be capable of bi-directional service. Sundre, south to the border, will be expanded from its current 20,000 barrels per day up to 100,000 barrels per day. The expansions will be staged into service during the last half of 2019 with full capacity realized in 2021. 

Intuitive, easy-to-use INOR Connect app makes it easy to configure a signal converter

INOR Process AB announces a whole new way to configure and monitor temperature transmitters without supply voltage and cables. Operators can connect to the transmitter with a smartphone or tablet using near-field communication (NFC) or Bluetooth and configure through the new INOR Connect app. Using wireless communication means operators never need to remove the signal converter from the process. Now available are the INOR 330 series temperature transmitters, and the INOR 530 series, fully compatible with HART 7.

Encana signs agreement to sell Arkoma Basin natural gas assets

Encana Corporation wholly owned subsidiary Newfield Exploration Mid-Continent Inc. has signed an agreement to sell its natural gas assets in Oklahoma's Arkoma Basin to an undisclosed buyer. Total cash consideration to Encana under the transaction is $165 million. The agreement is subject to ordinary closing conditions, regulatory approvals and other adjustments and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2019.
